SpineSix

Corso Rehabilitation and PT Associates in Huntington Station is proud to announce the acquisition of an exciting new modality in spinal care.  It is called SpineSix BioMotion Spinal System by Medicepts, Inc.

SpineSix is a motorized treatment table that provides both passive and active ROM to the lumbar and/or cervical spine in a controlled and safe environment.  SpineSix provides six degrees of freedom of movement, which translates into motion that is in all three planes of motion.  The table is controlled by an integral computer that allows spinal movement in a gentle, synchronized and pain-free manner.

The application of motion has demonstrated to be very beneficial in reducing the deleterious effects of immobilization, similar to the continuous passive motion (CPM) machines used post-surgically for extremities, such as after ACL surgery.

This multiplanar spinal motion system is designed to:

bulletEnhance acute back and neck pain treatment

bulletEnhance pre- and post-operative recovery

bulletAssist in ongoing management of chronic syndrome

bulletAugment performance training programs

Benefits of the Spine Six BioMotion Spinal System:

bulletIncreased cervical and lumbar spinal ROM

bulletControlled PROM to decrease fear avoidance

bulletEarly mobilization to reduce pain and spasms

bulletDecrease activation of antagonistic muscles

bulletPre- and post-surgical mobilization

bulletNeuromuscular desensitization

bulletIncreased nutrition to the intervertebral discs, facets joints and surrounding soft tissue

bulletDecrease articular adhesions and preserve articular cartilage

bulletPromote overall relaxation
