Gary Corso, MS, PT, OCS is co-owner, with his brother Tony, of Corso Physical Therapy, P.C. in Hauppauge and Corso Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy Associates, P.C. of Huntington Station. Gary has been practicing Physical Therapy for the past 20 years. Gary graduated from Long Island University (L.I.U.) C.W. Post College in Brookville with an undergraduate Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education in 1978. He successfully completed his Masters of Science Degree in Special Education in 1981 while becoming a Certified Athletic Trainer in 1979. Gary went on to graduate from the C.U.N.Y. at Hunter College Physical Therapy program with a Certificate in Physical Therapy in 1985. He became a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy in 1996. Gary has taught Physical Therapy at Touro College School of Health Sciences Physical Therapy program from 1988 to 1998. He has authored a journal article titled Impingement Relief Test: An Adjunctive Procedure to Traditional Assessment of Shoulder Impingement Syndrome published in the Journal of Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy in November 1995. Gary has taken extensive continuing education course work including, Advanced Treatment of the Upper Extremity, Advanced Treatment of the Lower Extremity, Craniosacral Manipulative Techniques and Specific Exercises as a Complement to Manual Therapy Treatment. Gary specializes in hands-on soft tissue treatment and mobilization for spinal conditions. He has extensive experience treating patients for TMJ, headaches and sacroiliac dysfunctions.
