Tony Corso

 

 

 

Tony Corso, MS, PT is co-owner, with his brother Gary, of the 3 Corso physical therapy sites. Tony has been practicing Physical Therapy for the past 19 years.

Tony graduated from Long Island University (L.I.U.) – C.W. Post College in Brookville with an undergraduate Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education in 1976.   He successfully completed his Masters of Science Degree in Special Education in1978 after becoming a Certified Athletic Trainer in 1975.

Tony went on to graduate from the L.I.U. – Brooklyn Physical Therapy program with a dual diploma, a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy, in 1987.  He has also taught Physical Therapy at Touro College School of Health Sciences Physical Therapy program from 1989 to 1994.

Tony has extensive experience working with pediatric patients.  He worked as a consultant for Maryhaven Center of Hope in Port Jefferson from 1991 to 1997.  He was responsible for evaluating, treating and providing recommendations for services for the population of emotionally and physically disabled children.

Tony has taken advanced continuing education courses such as, Advanced Treatment of the Lower Extremity, McConnell Patellofemoral Treatment Plan, and Lumbo-Pelvic Integration. He specializes in treatment of infants and children with various physical conditions. He also has experience with Temperomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJ) and Sports related injuries.

Tony has coached and trained many athletes for soccer, track and field, and gymnastics. He has coached, trained and competed in many triathlons including the Ironman.
